At the Beirut Eye Clinic, our patients are cared for by a dedicated team led by our consultant eye surgeon Alexandre ASSI MD FRCOphth.

Our team includes experienced optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmic technicians and nurses, and a patients manager. Optometrists conduct an initial preparatory examination in order to test the patient's vision, diagnose refractive errors and assist in prescribing corrective spectacles or contact lenses. Orthoptists help in the assessment and non-medical treatment of ocular misalignment (strabismus), motility disorders and anomalies in binocular vision.

Patients admitted to hospital are looked after during their stay by a specialized team of nurses delivering supportive pre and postoperative clinical care in a comfortable environment. Experienced ophthalmic technicians and nurses assist the eye surgeon during surgery and help to carry out advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures when required. Our patients manager coordinates the entire patient's care process to provide a smooth service delivery.
